Biography
CO-CHAIR, FINANCE, RESTRUCTURING, AND BANKRUPTCY PRACTICE GROUP
Heather Sonnenberg concentrates her practice in commercial finance, with a particular focus on asset-based and cash-flow financing for various industry sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, and other service industries. She serves a wide range of clients, including banks, commercial finance companies, mezzanine lenders, and other institutional lenders, along with private equity firms, hedge funds, and publicly and privately held corporations in the following areas:
- Commercial financing
- Asset-based financing
- Cash-flow financing
- Secured transactions
- Healthcare financing
- Real estate financing
- Mortgage warehouse financing
Experience
- An agent, in connection with a $90 million syndicated credit facility established for one of the world’s largest producers of trail mixes and a leading provider of snack nuts, dried fruits and other high growth, healthy snack products.
- Commercial finance subsidiary of an investment bank, as the administrative agent and lead lender, in connection with a revolving credit and mortgage term loan facility to finance the acquisition of a senior housing facility.
- Commercial finance subsidiary of an investment bank, as the administrative agent and lead lender, in connection with a revolving credit and mortgage term loan facility to finance the acquisition of skilled-nursing facilities, assisted-living facilities and apartment complexes located in the southeastern United States.
- An equity sponsor, in connection with a term loan and revolving credit facility to finance the acquisition of a direct-marketing company and ongoing working capital needs.
- An equity sponsor, in connection with a senior and mezzanine credit facility to finance the acquisition of a computer-accessory design and manufacturing company.
- Agent and lender, in connection with a $13 million revolving credit and term loan facility provided to a designer and developer of services technology based solutions for pharmacy facilities, including automated medication dispensing.
- Agent and lender, in various revolving credit facilities to affiliated rehabilitation and health care facilities offering short-term, long-term, respite, dementia, hospice, and palliative care in connection with opco/propco HUD transactions.
