Jourdan S. Garvey

Biography

Jourdan Garvey concentrates her practice on representing and advising private equity sponsors (and their portfolio companies), family-owned and closely held businesses, and other public and privately held companies on all corporate matters, including:

  • Mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures;
  • Private equity transactions;
  • Strategic investments and joint ventures;
  • General corporate, partnership, and limited liability company matters (including entity formation and planning) and governance; and
  • A variety of general business matters, including commercial agreements 

Jourdan is a deal facilitator and regularly represents clients in connection with M&A transactions across a broad range of industries. Jourdan's experience also includes serving as “outside general counsel” to a number of clients, providing guidance on commercial and corporate matters. 

Jourdan serves as a member of the firm’s Philadelphia Attorney Recruiting Committee. Jourdan also serves as the Vice Chair of the Business Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

During law school, Jourdan served as the managing editor of operations and a staff writer for the Villanova Law Review.
