Biography
Matthew L. McDermott concentrates his practice on a wide variety of intellectual property and technology issues.
Prior to joining Blank Rome, Matthew served as a scientific analyst intern at an American multinational law firm. He has notable experience assisting in patent prosecution through writing and reviewing applications, including introduction, specification, and claims.
Matthew also has extensive experience researching biomedical sciences. He studied autoimmune disease in kidneys while earning his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He moved on to earn his PhD from the University of California, San Diego, researching molecular dependencies in pancreatic cancer.
Outside the Firm
Matthew enjoys traveling, watching college sports, and trying new types of food.
