Samarth Barot

Biography

Samarth Barot represents contractors and subcontractors in government contracts litigation, construction litigation, commercial and business litigation, and government contracts-related matters in state and federal courts nationwide.

Samarth has handled bid protests before the Government Accountability Office, advised clients regarding the Small Business Administration’s procurement programs, and counseled contractors regarding compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.

Samarth also has experience representing policyholders seeking to maximize coverage in commercial general liability insurance matters, representing clients involved in litigation of issues arising out of overlapping coverage, and advising clients with respect to coverage issues arising out of product liability claims and workplace exposure to hazardous substances.

Prior to joining Blank Rome, Samarth served as an associate at two Washington, D.C.-based law firms, as well as a law clerk for the Honorable Bruce D. White, chief judge for the 19th Judicial Circuit of Virginia.

During law school, Samarth served as a law clerk for Rolls Royce’s Defense Aerospace Department, as well as a judicial intern for the Honorable Thomas J. Motley of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the Honorable Rossie D. Alston Jr. of the Virginia Court of Appeals. He was also a research editor of the Journal of International Commercial Law and member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Samarth is fluent in Hindi.
